NO MORE BLOGGING!

If I have to blog on one more website, I just may lose my mind. To keep up with the demand, I am now available on MySpace.

I have two goals right now whilst I'm here at CLC Radio. My current projects are: Advertising in the school cafeteria, establishing a larger listening audience.

The cafeteria advertising has to do with trifolded Menus; one side will be a lunch menu, the next will be for Student Activites, and the third is the DJ Schedule for the current semester. Think "Trojan Horse", because we are 'hitching a ride' on the menu.

The listener audience is a tricky one. We already redesigned the website which, of course, helped a lot. I am masterminding CLC RADIO: After Hours to set up themed nights to bring in more internet radio listeners.

I am shooting for the following:
  • Industrial
  • Dance
  • Hip Hop
  • Rap
  • Electronica
  • Punk

Hopefully these blocks of time would last for a few hours, and develop a steady listening base. I really believe that these genres (that we don't play much during the day) need to be heard. If you have suggestions, please add them!

A Much Better Weekend

I am no longer upset with all of you --yes, even those of you keeping score at home-- because my weekend was fantastic. Besides workin' fo' tha man, I went to the cinema, saw some friends, and finished it off with a Goth concert.

Yes, you heard right.

I saw (and heard) Goth music covering four genres: progressive rock, metal, pop, and industrial. The industrial act was last and phenomenal. Three young go getters

Till next time...

Another long week

So there I was, typing, my very first blog. It felt so different, so weird, so new, and oh god it was so alien.

"Like a virgin, touched for the very first time."

I want to point out that this didn't hurt or harm me in anyway. All I knew was that I was going to keep trying until I got it right -- or die trying. ;)

(Fade to present)
Here I am hoping this miserable week ends soon. (I look outside desperate for signs from the winds of change...) But for REAL NOW, this week was chock-full of work in classes and therefore, not as much in the office as I had hoped. MP and I revised my plans for the Menus in the Lancer's Cafe, but more on that when things become finalized.

I am not going on the SXSW trip, because I have too much on my plate school-wise, and I need to save my requested time from work for this summer. If it all possible, I will be going to Costa Rica. Again, more on that when things become finalized.
