The superb recording Quality that you hear is provided in large part from Paul Schmidt recording engineer par excellence, using just 2 microphones in an X-Y pattern** on an aluminium tripod at 22' up from the house (audience) floor position on center approx. 24' to the rear of the conductor's podium position.  The other assistance is from the assisted acoustics designed by Kirkegard & Assoc.
